My dear friend Tanja just gave birth to her first baby last week in Switzerland and it’s a baby boy! His name is Louie and he is tooooo cute.
My daughter wanted to make a present and gave Louie her soft book ‘my quiet time’ in which he can learn how to button up a shirt, tie shoe lazes and read the time (something to look forward to). My son gave him his favourite animal book from Ravensburger and found a delicate blue toned bird decoration at Madu for Louie too.
I know how fast babies grow and how tricky it can be to get them dressed. Especially for the first baby and in the beginning. I absolutely love the Petit Bateau baby collection. The quality of the cotton is super and even after washing the bodies ten times they don’t shrink. The off colours are very French and their pale colours suit most babies. Going to the Petit Bateau shop makes me want to have another baby at home!!!

先週、私の親友のターニャがスイスで初めて出産しました。名前はルイ。男の子です。もう、すーっごく可愛いの！
娘が赤ちゃんにプレゼントをしたいと言い出し、自分のお気に入りだった本、‘My Quiet Time’を贈ることにしました。シャツのボタンをかけたり、くつひもを結んだり、時計が読めるようになる（はずの）本です。息子からは大好きだった動物の絵本と、Maduで買った青い鳥の飾りがプレゼントです。
私はというと、経験上、赤ちゃんがすぐに大きくなってしまうこと、服を着せるのがとても大変なことを知っている（とりわけ最初の赤ちゃんは）のでプチ・バトーのベビー服をプレゼントに選びました。プチ・バトーはコットンの質もよく、何回洗っても縮みません。落ち着いた色合いはフレンチシックで赤ちゃんに良く似合います。プチ・バトーのお店に行くたびに、もう一人赤ちゃんが欲しくなってしまいます！！
