We are proud to announce Abi Loves first Kids workshop.

Get creative with the handmade elephant made of soft washable cotton from Zid Zid to be personalised. Use markers, colour, stick and saw on material, beeds. Make your original decoration. Make your own lucky elephant and enjoy Abis home made cakes.

On the latest trip to Kleine Fabriek in Amsterdam I finally had a face to face with company owner creative director and lovely Romy from Kids on Roof. We just received one of her newest creative stimulator for your kids : Totem Tree all made of recycled carton. Just looking at the constructed tree brings me close to nature – wonderful.

 

Our new arrival and new label Zid Zid Kids is our latest pride. Marrakech – Morocco based company Zid Zid Kids offers a balance between tradition and style. kleine fabriek!

Visit to the kids fair in Amsterdam- kleine fabriek

The fair was super well organised and was great to attend. With friendly staff, clear information, enough light and space to enjoy the work environment, cafes in every corner of the fair, and a yummmy ice cream bar. The Dutch are so easy going, relaxed and direct. Something I love in life.

My favourites…

Dear Romy from Kids on Roof I finally met life after having sent hundreds of emails back and forth. Her multiple award winning recycled toys are avant guard, educational, creative and fun. I ❤ them all!

Anne-Claire Petit introduced me to little Lily, organic woven cotton doll (exclusive on Abi Loves…this Fall). She is amazing. All her work is made by women in a poor remote village in China. Giving them work and money to live and send their kids to school. There should be more people out there doing such things. 

Finger in the Nose…for the first time on Abi Loves…this Fall. The coolest kids jeans brand promises to continue to rock on through 2010. Yeah!

Bisgaard, high quality, comfortable modern kids shoes…lovely colours for next Spring. The kind of leather shoes your kids like wearing and you dont mind if they get them scratched. They look even cooler used and with a bit of cream are back to new for special occasion.

アムステルダムで行われたキッズフェアに行ってきました。

フェアはとても良く企画されてあり、行く価値がありました。スタッフはフレンドリーで案内もしっかりしていて、仕事を楽しむためのスペースがゆったりとられ、照明も明るく、会場のあちらこちらにカフェがあり、おいし～いアイスクリームバーまであります。オランダの人たちは陽気で気楽で率直。私の好きな気質を持ち合わせています。

私のお気に入りは・・・

Kids on RoofのRomyとは何百回というメールのやり取りの末会うことが出来ました。数々の賞を勝ち取ったリサイクルのおもちゃはアヴァンギャルドで教育的、クリエイティブで楽しいものばかり。大好きです！

Anne-Claire Petit が紹介してくれたlittle Lilyはオーガニックコットンの人形。この秋Abi Loves…で限定販売します。彼女は素晴らしいことに、仕事を中国の貧しい村の女性達に依頼しています、彼女達はそのお金で生活し、子供を学校に行かせることができるのです。このような試みをもっとたくさんの人がするようになるといいですね。

Finger in the nose。Abi Loves…で取り扱うのは初めてです。クールなキッズのデニムブランドで、2010年もロックし続けること間違いなし！

Bisgaardはハイクオリティーで履き心地にこだわった子供靴のブランド。来春はかわいい色がたくさん出ます。子供が気に入って履き続けても汚れが気にならないと思います。使い古したように見えたほうがずっと素敵な靴で、少しクリームを塗ればよそ行き用によみがえります。

Nina’s picked up Abigail Terrien with family and Abi Loves… online shop for their next issue. The photoshoot was at my favourite lunch place in Aoyama Tokyo Galerie Vie as well as at home.

Fun time despite the cold rain. We are looking forward to next months nina’s issue. Arigato!

Abi Loves…Online Shop Opening Party

 

We had the best time, the best weather, the best location for Abi Loves… shop launch Kids Party yesterday.

With the theme being kids party it truly was a great kids party. They loved to paint on the chalk walls, the clown Guido was just fabulous entertainment, Totoro playing on a big screen for the ones who wanted a rest, my tent – baby corner was always in use, the cakes, popcorn, sandwiches, grapes and vegetable sticks (organic of course), strawberry-marshmallow scewers, M&M’s, chocolate cigarettes went like they hadn’t eaten the whole day. As for the grown ups I think you all enjoyed my Cranberry Spritzer ; ) cheese plate and yes, some of you guys did let the M&Ms melt in your hand…

Ako Tanaka （Chief Editor of Numero TOKYO) came with her daughter, Sae Isshiki with the whole family, Yves Bougon (CEO of Lagardere), Sasaki-san (President of Tomorrowland Group), various stylists and editors from fashion and Kids magazines like Spur, Ginza, Elle, Harpers Bazaar, marisol, ViVi, CLASSY, nina’s, Pre-mo/Baby-mo, Martin & Yoshiko Webb, designers like Masako Yosano, Marielle Byworth, Maria H, a bunch of good friends….everyone with their kids. Happy to be there.

Absolutely wonderful day, wonderful experience, great reaction. Thanks to my staff for all your hard work. It ended up being a big production bringing half of my own home decoration to the TFC Press Room. All very much worthwhile!

Abi Loves…Online Shop Opening Party

昨日のAbi Loves…オープニングキッズパーティーは、最高のロケーション、日程、お天気の中で開催することができました。

子供向けのパーティーというテーマではかなり盛大なものになったと思います。子供たちは壁に設置した黒板に落書きをしたり、クラウンのGuidoの楽しい手品を見たり、休憩コーナーで大きなスクリーンのトトロの映画を楽しんだりしました。私の作ったテントはベビー用に大活躍。ケーキ、ポップコーン、サンドイッチ、ぶどう、の野菜スティック（もちろんオーガニック！）、いちごとマシュマロのスティック、M&M、タバコチョコレートはお腹をすかせた子供たちがあっという間に食べてしまいました。

大人の皆さんには手作りのクランベリー・スプライザーとチーズプレートが気に入って頂けたのでは？手に持ったM&Mが溶けてしまって大変だった人も何人か見かけましたが・・・。

Numero TOKYO編集長の田中杏子さんは娘さんと、Archiのデザイナーでもある一色紗英さんは家族全員で、アシェット婦人画報社CEOのイブ・ブゴン氏、トゥモローランド社長の佐々木さん、さまざまなファッション雑誌やキッズ雑誌（Spur、Ginza、Elle、Harpers Bazaar、marisol、ViVi、CLASSY、nina’s、Pre-mo/Baby-moなど）のスタイリストやエディターたち、 マーティン＆ヨシコ・ウェブファミリー、デザイナーの与謝野雅子さん、Marielle Byworth、Maria H、そのほかたくさんのお友達・・・みんな子供たちを連れて遊びに来てくれました！

素晴らしい１日、素敵な思い出がいっぱいのパーティーになりました。手伝ってくれたスタッフにも感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。自宅で使っているインテリアを半分くらいプレスルームに運ぶことになってしまったのですから。でも、その甲斐がありました！
